The Northwestern National Bank building depicted here was built in 1938 on Marquette Avenue between 6th and 7th Street (map)

The building burned down in 1982. The bank was renamed to Norwest in 1983 and a new building was built in the same location in 1989. After the merger in 1998, it was renamed Wells Fargo Tower.
