Ski Jumping
in Northern Minnesota
7A-H1052

Although the postcard itself does not provide the info, this ski jump was located in Chester Bowl in Duluth. There are a few other postcards of the ski jump there. There are a few really beautiful cards from that era. More information about the ski jumps can be found here. The card, 7A-H1052, was created in 1937

Text on the back of the card:

"Ski jumping has been fostered and become a very popular sport in Northern Minnesota. Tournaments are held annually and Winter sports carnivals are a feature of many enterprising communities. Besides ski jumping and cross country skiing, King Winter features hockey, skating, tobagganing, ice boating, snow shoeing."
