Curt Teich
Production Job Jacket
0B-H1027
The Newberry Library in Chicago maintains an archive of the Curt Teich company's production files. Each postcard had a job jacket envelope with additional materials and info about the production of the postcard.
From the job jacket we can see that it was originally ordered for the Gopher News Co in Minneapolis, that it began in June of 1904, and made it to the Artist Department in early July.
The instructions on the job ticket suggest there was an earlier version of the Large Letter postcard that had a stadium for the letter S (probably for the U of M). Silver Creek Cliff was indeed used for the letter A.
